Pizza Express in a Tribal skirt

Went for lunch with an old friend last week. Here's what I wore (Katy was my photographer).

No idea why I thought keeping hold of the Pizza Express box was a good idea for these photos. This skirt I bought from Forever 21. I love all the different colours as it means I can mix and match it with all sorts, like my bright purple tights! My jumper was one of my great finds from eBay. Its such a gorgeous green colour and has a lovely fit. After my favourite coat (Sailor one from Topshop) was stolen last year from a club, I was on the hunt for a new coat and have since bought 3, although these have not quite filled the gaping hole left from my other coat. This navy duffel coat is yet again another great find from EBay. It's originally from Next but is from the kids section. Apart from the slightly short sleeves, it fits me perfect.

After our lunch at Pizza Express, Katy and I decided to head to Leicester Square where the Men in Black 3 premiere was about to start. We got to meet the big man himself! Will Smith is just awesome, so nice and always happy to meet and greet fans.
We also got to meet Nicole Scherzinger who looked stunning in her risky Cengiz Abazoglu Haute Couture dress.
And if that wasn't enough, we then got to have a little chat with Emma Thompson. She is just amazing. I told her she looked fab and she told me her white suit was by Maria Grachvogel. It's so great to see a top British Actress supporting a top British Designer.
Finishing off with a quick reminder of this fantastic clothes swapping event coming to London in a few weeks time! RSVP the event page and why not like the Facebook page for information on more swapping events in the future!

The Original Tour Box Office

As the end of exam celebrations are dying down, I am finding more time to post looks onto my Lookbook and Chictopia accounts and to do some more blogging. Here's what I wore to The Other Art Fair last weekend.

My first ever Romwe purchase finally arrived! This double breasted blouse is faultless in this seasons most popular colour, mint green. I love the big laced collar too. It also perfectly matches my green Faith shoes which I wore to my prom 6 years ago! After watching Tim Burton's Dark Shadows I decided to bring back the 70s in these High waisted flared jeans from Forever 21.

Don't forget to check out the Facebook event page for this exciting new Clothes Swapping event happening in London next month! If you can't make this one, then why not like the Facebook page to be told of more events in the future!

Hello Sailor

I finally got round to wearing my Sailor dress that I bought from the first Judy's Market I visited in Leicester way back in March. I wore this to Judy's at Spitalfields a few weeks ago. This market happens every first Saturday of the month but won't be there in June as they're taking over Brighton for Vintage Nation. I was waiting until I dyed my hair bright red as I think it compliments the dress quite well and looks great paired with my red tights.
I even got papped by Judy's own photographer so look out for me on the blog and facebook page soon! Vintage fairs have become my new favourite thing. There's always so much variety and although vintage pieces can be quite expensive, you can find some bargains if you hunt enough.

If you can't afford to buy new clothes and have loads of stuff you don't want anymore, why not pop along to this clothes swapping event in London next month!

It's only £3 entry and you can bring all the clothes which you don't wear anymore and swap it for stuff you would wear whilst being entertained with some live music! You can find out more information on the Facebook page and why not join the event page and tell all your friends about it too!

If you're over on Chictopia, don't forget to vote for my Show us your sole contest entry!

Nelly.com launch night!

Yesterday I received some very exciting news that I had won tickets to the launch night of new clothing website Nelly.com thanks to a competition run over on blog CharlotteClothier. My first decision was who was I going to take with me? Housemate Chloe was my lucky +1. Here's what I wore.

My dress is from TKMaxx by a brand called Max C. I fell in love with the colour and the little gems on the shoulders add a touch of glamour. I teamed it with a black belt, tights and kitten heels. The leather jacket roughed it up a bit.

I had no idea of what to expect. The venue, a club called Aqua just off Regents Street, was beautifully decorated inside. There was a long corridor with mirrors down either side and a massive bronze bull statue at the end. Nelly.com had clothes hung up around the 3 different rooms and shoes placed upon pedestals.

To prove just how perfect their clothes are for nights out on the town, Nelly.com had their models perform a dance routine with over the top moves wearing bright neon body con dresses and high heels. The new website offers a whole array of different brands and designers all sold at various price ranges so you'll be sure to find something you'll love!

What with it being a launch night and all, of course there were a few familiar faces. There was an awesome DJ set from Radio 1's Gemma Cairney who played a bit of everything from some old skool garage to some Dolly Parton. She was more than happy to stop for a quick photo for the blog too!

After a bit of free wine (3 glasses to be exact) I felt ready to go and strike up a conversation with A1's Ben Adams and his gorgeous Miss Norway 09 girlfriend Sara Skjoldnes, who also does some modelling for Little-Mistress, one of the brands featured on Nelly.com. Having been a mahoosive A1 fan back in the day, I think I done quite well to not embarrass myself, although I do slightly remember doing an impression of a pirate to explain my blog title!

Aren't they the cutest?! So all in all an amazing night which I'd like to thank Charlotte Clothier for picking me. Don't forget to check out the new Nelly.com site and I'll leave you with one last photo of Me and housemate Chloe. Thanks for reading!!

Night out with the boys!

Chictopia have a brand new contest called 'Show us your sole' where you show off your favourite pair of shoes. So here's my entry! You can vote by clicking the little dog picture underneath.

I wore this outfit for a night out with the boys which ended up a party back at ours. I bought the hat that day from a vintage market in Shoreditch. I can't usually pull off wearing hats because of my big sticky out ears but this hat tucks them away. The shoes I have picked to show off are my yellow brogues from Primark. They're such a bright and happy colour and so easy to wear. Not bad for £6! Thanks for any votes/comments/favourites!

Salvation Army Charity Dress

I have been very excited about doing this post. Remember how I told you about that charity shop I found with the gorgeous vintage dresses? Well I went back last week and tried on about 10 and managed to whittle it down to this one below.

A lot of the dresses were bought in from a woman who was a professional piano player so they were all made to measure and with a 22 inch waist, most of them didn't quite fit me. However, this one I did manage to squeeze into and I absolutely love it! I wore it to the Vintage fair in Shoreditch last week and got a lot of compliments. I especially love the bright print and the cute collar and bow. I paired it with some bright red tights and my navy velvet Topshop boots (Yes, those boots again!). I got some amazing stuff from the vintage fair which I'm sure will be featured here very soon!

Thanks for reading. Any questions or requests can be sent to charlotte.olivia.ellis@hotmail.co.uk

Goody Two Shoes

I'm back with a new look. This one is more rock chick!

Bought these tartan trousers from a little boutique in Stratford for £5. Fell in love with them straight away. They can toughen up any outfit! Went back to the Salvation Army charity shop just off Regent's street and bought myself the most beautiful vintage dress which will be featured in my next post tomorrow =]
