Panda Eyes

Hey!!

Welcome to a very exciting post from me today. I have finally received my first ever free trial from Oasap. They have sent me this totally cute and awesome Panda Sweatshirt. Here's how I styled it.

The sweatshirt is made of an almost silk-like material and fits like a dream. I, a UK sized 8-10, am wearing a size medium and have layered it over a black collared blouse. Mr Panda has such a pretty face and is so comfortable to wear.

I've paired this bad boy with some super tight black denim jeans from Primark and my beloved Reeboks. A few years ago I went to watch a band called We Are Scientists live and the lead singer, Keith Murray, was wearing these really cool hi-top Reeboks in red and white. And so began a wild hunt! After a few months of searching, I finally found a pair in black and in my size on eBay all the way from Italy. They're not the usual style I go for, but it's fun to mix it up every now and then.

Oasap are currently offering a special Halloween discount of 25% off using the code 'Halloween' at checkout, making this lovely chap just $22.43 (or £14.36 to us Brits!). So what are you waiting for? Put your order in today!

A big thanks to Eoghan and Lisa for helping with these photos. Today at work we found out they are filming the new Stephen Hawkins movie in our building. How exciting!! This means I am one step closer to Eddie Redmayne becoming my new boyfriend and Felicity Jones my BFF.

Thanks for reading and keep a lookout for an exclusive giveaway happening here soon. Follow my blog and like the Facebook page to be kept in the loop!

Fade To Grey

Just popping by with a quick outfit post. Anyone who knows me, will tell you how much I love Winter; hot chocolate in bed, the sound of rain against the windows, Christmas (don't even get me started on Christmas!!). My main love of Winter is the fashion; comfy jumpers, leather boots, knitted tights, long socks, hats, coats, layers, the colours! I could go on. As the days get shorter and the nights colder, I suddenly come alive. Here's today's outfit.

I bought this dress in Ireland a year or 2 ago. The top is so soft and thick, perfect for winter. The bottom is a chiffon layer atop cotton, with a lace hemline. The crocheted waist makes it so cute. My buckled shoes are from New Look and are also available in brown.

My Mum bought me these tights a few years ago. They have such a unique and interesting texture, they're always fun to wear. You can see the pretty lace detail of my dress too. Very vintage.

This cameo necklace was another of my Great Grandmothers and it gets a lot of interest from my friends and work colleagues.

There is a constant feeling of Winter and Christmas in my room with my snowflake fairy lights which I bought from Ikea a few years ago (put they still sell HERE!). They're so long, they cover over half of my room! It makes me feel all snuggly and romantic when I sit and type with them on every night.

Yesterday I went to an Orla Kiely sample sale in London. I've never been to a sample sale before and just kept imagining that scene from Confessions of a Shopaholic, it was nothing like that. I ended up buying 2 skirts; one that I can wear to work and one I can wear to party in. Keep a look out over the next week for their feature on the blog. The Orla Kiely Sample sale is still on, 11am-7pm until Saturday 26th October 2013. You can find it at 2 Percy Street, just off Tottenham Court Road. There is a £1 donation entry fee, but it is totally worth it! Now I must resist the urge to go back...

Mollie King For Oasis

Today it was revealed that The Saturday's Mollie King is Oasis' first ever Style Ambassador. Known for her cute and girlie style, she's the perfect candidate for Oasis. Over on the Oasis site, she has picked her favourite items from the new Winter collection and given them the 'Loved By Mollie' stamp of approval. Here are a few of my personal picks.

The dresses (and playsuit)

I absolutely adore the polka dot skater dress. The leather finishing touches are what makes it for me. The tuxedo playsuit looks fun and boyish.

The Skirts

All of these skirts are high-waisted and very 60's, and we all know I love that era! The navy leather skirt is such a flattering length and the checked one is extremely in right now!

The Others

The tuxedo jumpsuit is sure to put curves in all the right places and that fluffy jumper will definitely keep you warm during these coming winter nights. The gold detailing make these black boots a luxury.

Oasis are also running a competition where you could win a shopping weekend in London!

What are your favourite pieces from Mollie's top picks?

Me Jumper

After spending the whole weekend in bed, dying from a cold, I am back! Here's today's outfit, featuring yet more tartan!

The tartan trousers are a new purchase from H&M. They're so nice and warm but are a lot darker in colour than they are on the website. I decided to stay extra cosy by pairing them with a frilly lace collared shirt from Romwe and a navy cashmere jumper...WITH MY NAME ON IT!! This jumper is one of my greatest charity shop finds. OK, not quite my find, but my friend Jenni, who I was shopping with at the time, found it hanging on one of the rails. It is definitely one of my favourite pieces, I mean Hello! it's cashmere and by french brand Gerard Darel, AND IT'S MY NAME! Yes, yes, I'm actually 4 years old and get excited when things feature my name on it. Anyway, moving on. Today's jewellery was all silver.

Another favourite of mine, my Tiffany silver peace necklace, bought for my 21st birthday by my Cousin/Godmother. I feel bad for all my other necklaces as I do tend to wear this everyday.

The first ring is of a silver eagle claw from Wholesale It Online. The second ring is my Dad's. It has his initials engraved on it, he used to wear it on his little finger...until I stole it!

Something very exciting was waiting for me at home...my new Orla Kiely dress!! I've been waiting for it for about a month. I bought it from one of those discounted websites, but it still cost me quite a bit. It is from one of the past collections and I cannot wait to wear it! But until I do, here's a little sneak peak.

That's enough excitement for one day. Be sure to like my Facebook Page to keep up with my goings on.

Tracks

Ahoy!

I'm back with an outfit post which is a bit more glamorous than usual. This weekend is my brother's 20th birthday. For his present this year, I took him to see a film at the BFI London Film Festival in Leicester Square. He's a big film fanatic so I knew he'd be happy to see any of the bills on this years bill. I chose to take him to see Tracks, a film based on a book of the true story of Robyn Davidson who trekked across the Australian deserts with the help of 4 camels she trained to carry her belongings. It stars Mia Wasikowska and Girls odd hunk, Adam Driver. It's a very inspiring movie. Anyway, here's what I wore for the red carpet event (I took so long getting ready, we sort of missed out on the red carpet part).

I was very excited to get the chance to wear this lacey number. I bought this maxi dress in New Look's sale for just £15! I thought it only right to pair it with some pearls. The pearled belt actually came with another dress and the pearl necklace belonged to my Great Grandma. My shoes were quite glitzy too! I got them in the ASOS sale.

My cute kitty ring is from Wholesaleitonline.com and was just $2.06! The pearl clip is my Mum's (Thanks!)

After the film, I took a wee walk to Waterloo and met a friend for a drink. There's a new vintage train style bar that has opened up just around the corner from where he lives. We were given some 'train tickets' to exchange at the bar for a free beer/glass of wine. The bar had a really cool look to it. The couches looked like luxurious train seats and there were screens showing passing landscapes so it looked like windows. It was called Carriage 34.

I've had fun using my new camera, though I'm still trying to figure out how to use it properly.

I have also been given the chance to trial out an item of clothing from Oasap. Once it has arrived, all shall be revealed...

Mon Plaisir

Ah Bonjour!

I hope you've all had a refreshing weekend, despite the weather. I was working (BOO!). So that's why I was a little quiet on the blog front, I mean I do work 7 days a week, but the weekends I'm always extra tired from having to wake up so early (hello 5am!) and then trying to have a social life after an 8 hour shift of standing on my feet serving some pretty grumpy customers. Oh well, that's life! It's Monday, and I'm back with a new outfit post, featuring yet more tartan.

This is from a week or two ago. Me and my housemate Elie went for a little wander around Covent Garden. We checked out the pop-up forest they had at the Seven Dials, took in some art at the National Portrait Gallery and then dined at a posh French restaurant - Yum!

This tartan skirt I bought from a second hand shop in Donegal town when I was visiting family in Ireland in August. It was only 2Euro and is a lovely warm felt material. I've teamed it with a cream chiffon boho top from Topshop, light lilac cardigan and my new favourite black buckled shoes from New Look.

This was my favourite painting at the NPG. We're so used to seeing paintings of members of the Royal family looking so official, this is why I love this one so much. It's so relaxed, just 2 Prince's hanging out.

I've been successful in winning a free clothing trial from Oasap. It's not something I'd usually go for, so watch this space!

I probably won't be back tomorrow as me being the awesome sister that I am, will be taking my brother to the London Film Festival as an early birthday treat. I'm really excited to get the chance to wear something a little special. All shall be revealed soon.

Don't Call Me Ska Face

Happy Friday people!

 Another day, another look.

Guess who got new shoes!! They're from Necessary Clothing and were on a special 'Markdown Monday' deal. Here's what I styled them with:

My jeans are from Topshop, the Jamie style. I like them because they're higher waisted than normal jeans. The monochrome shirt is from Forever 21.

You're all probably out partying. Me, I'm having a night in with sushi and wine with some of my housemates, I've got work super early tomorrow morning, so can't go too crazy tonight.

Don't forget to vote for my photo as part of Oasap's Autumn Fashion Look Contest HERE! Thanks for reading, liking, commenting, following, sharing and everything else you can do with a blog! I'll hopefully be back tomorrow, if not, maybe Sunday!!

50 Shades of Green

Good evening (again! - I'm on a roll)

Today's post, if I'm not mistaken, is my 50th outfit post - Hurray! This outfit got me alot of compliments in the office. I also decided to wear my hair a different way and I wore a dash of lipstick which I hadn't done in a while. It's amazing how the slightest changes, can make the biggest of differences.

I have basically stolen this dress from my housemate. I spotted it lying on her bed one day, the pattern really caught my eye, so I tried it on. Turns out it was made for me! It was supposedly longer with puffy sleeves but my housemate hacked away at it with some scissors. The fact it's a little rough around the edges, makes me love it even more!

It's such an interesting dress and the colours are beautiful. I teamed it with some dark brown long boots. I'm so glad it's getting colder so I can start layering again. I also bought a new coat from JOY. It's super cute and totally me!.

And yes...that is Bradley Cooper peering over my shoulder! Haha, thanks for reading and don't be shy, leave a comment (or do be a little shy and be anonymous). I'll be back tomorrow with a monochrome look :)

Don't forget you can vote for my Autumn Fashion Look Contest entry over on Oasap's Facebook page. Whilst you're over on Facebook, why not like my blog page too!

Blue, Blue, Electric Blue Suit

Hello again.
I'm back with another quick outfit post. This one features a short suit from 2 different shops!

The shorts are from Monsoon and the blazer is from Zara, and they match perfectly! The blazer was worn by Zooey Deschanel's character Jess in New Girl, so when I found it in the sale last year, I had to have it! The buckled shoes are my new favs. I had been searching for something a little more masculine to wear. These ones are from New Look and are still available online.

Just a quick reminder about the Oasap Autumn Fashion Look Contest that I've entered. I would really appreciate your votes. All you need to do is click like on my photo HERE. A massive thank you in advance!!

And now I shall leave you with the inspiration for today's blog title. See you tomorrow!

Church On Sunday

Good evening everyone!

Just popping by with a quick outfit post. I (like the rest of the World) have gone crazy for tartan. I've always been a fan of tartan (sneak back to May 2012!), but now it's one of THE big trends for this season, it's even more accessible. Tartan skirts are a must for everyone this Autumn/Winter. Check out how I've worn mine below.

The tartan skirt for today's post (I have about 5!) is from Forever 21 and I've teamed it with a cable knit jumper from Primark, a black leather studded jacket and black buckled shoes from New Look. Tartan just makes me feel all British and warm inside.

I'll try my best to come back tomorrow, but until then, can I ask a wee favour? I have entered Oasap's Autumn Fashion Style Contest over on their Facebook page. I'd really appreciate some votes. All you need to do is click like here for my photo. Thanks in advance :)
