Radio Days

Hello!

Sorry I've been a bit quiet. I had an incident Thursday after work involving a man with a flick blade. I am A-OK but it has shaken me up a wee bit.

Anyway, on a lighter note, I was recently introduced to a wonderful vintage shop just around the corner from Waterloo station. What I loved most about this place was the amazing service. Each time I've been, one of the owners Lee has been there and he is an absolute pleasure! On my first visit I bought a super cute 60's style tartan skirt and a mint green jumper with a sweet collar detailing. Here I am wearing the skirt.

I was instantly drawn to this skirt, not just for the tartan pattern, but because of the unique fastening. The laced up front does give it a slight 70's feel to it. I paired it with a plain H&M t-shirt, a burgundy boyfriend cardigan originally from Topman but bought from a charity shop, a bronze bejewelled heart necklace from New Look, knee high cream socks, brown boots and a brown ribbon in my hair.

I really do love the fit of this skirt!

On my second visit to Radio Days, I popped in with my camera and asked Lee if I could take a few snaps for the blog. He very kindly said yes. Here's a little bit of what you can expect to see.

This shop has a little bit of everything; magazines, homeware, woman's clothing, men's clothing, even vintage kids clothing (check out the mini leather jacket!). Whilst I was walking around snapping these shots, I noticed a beautiful yellow embellished shift dress. It was a couple of days before pay day, so I told myself, if I was meant to have the dress, then it will still be there in a few days time...and it was! I'll be showing it off very soon :)

That's all for today. Thanks for reading and stay safe!!

Your Eyes Lie (Happy Birthday Me!)

Hey!!

Sorry I've been a bit bad with the blogging. It was my birthday last week so I celebrated by having a joint birthday house party with my my housemate Elie. It gave me the chance to wear my new dress from Your Eyes Lie. Check it out!

This 'Highbury' Printed Cutout dress is perfect for a birthday party with it's balloon like print. I paired it with my sparkley knee tighst and silver block heeled Mary Jane's by Red or Dead from Schuh.

My necklace is from New Look. Its actually made up of navy triangle gems with diamontes and silver. They have this similar black and gold one available on the site. Here's me with birthday boy Elie. I think my camera was drunk as this photo came out quite a bit blurry...oops!

My heels were so high I had to crouch down in this photo so I didn't make Elie look too small :)

My brother bought me the best present this year. He took me to the Harry Potter Studio Tour!! Anyone who knows me will know how much I love Harry Potter (RonRon <3 br=""> Thanks for reading. I'll be back tomorrow...I hope!

Christmas By The River

Hello!

Just a quick Christmassy post. I've been spending a lot of time down by the river on Southbank at the Christmas market. It's a great place to pick up some yummy treats for the family and beautiful items for friends. If you're lucky, you may even spot Santa walking around too!

I'm always such a big kid this time of year. Not only is it Christmas in just over 2 weeks (hello turkey!) but it's my birthday on Wednesday!! I love birthdays. If you're over on Twitter, come follow me and check out my latest tweet for a sneak peak of my Your Eyes Lie Dress which I wore for my early birthday celebrations this weekend. More photo's to come to the blog soon!

For now, I'll love you and leave you as I'm off for a Carol service with mulled wine and great friends!

Captain Coco

Ahoy!

I'm back from my weekend away! I'm getting so behind on my outfit posts. This one is from over a week ago!

This dress I bought from a Pop Boutique store in Leicester almost 4 years ago. It's very Chanelesque, don't ya think? Carrying on with the monochrome look, I've paired it with my checked 60's boots from Mart Of China (unfortunately they're no longer on the website, but they do have lots more funky boots for sale!) and an anchor cameo necklace, which was sent to me by my good friend Ian.

Sorry for such a quick post. Come back tomorrow and I'll help you get into the Christmas spirit with some photos from the Christmas Market along the Southbank! And now, for an out take...

...don't ask.
