Wilton's Music Hall - Outfit of the Day (OOTD)

I'm taking a break from posting about Paris to bring you my day at the vintage fair and the beginning of a new collaboration!

This weekend, Pop Up Vintage held a fair at Wilton's Music Hall in East London. I'm already a big fan of Pop Up, but had never attended one of their fairs in this venue before, so this was pretty exciting for me!

The sun was shining, which seemed like the perfect time to test out my new Burberry Lipstick. Angelica (AKA One Little Vice) had kindly nominated me to be sent a sample from the new Burberry Kisses range. The colour I chose was 85. Sepia, and it came in a tiny, but adorable stick which is just perfect to carry around on nights out in a small clutch. This lipstick is fantastic as the colour didn't fade throughout the day. You can still see it on my lips in the photos towards the end. I didn't even need to reapply once!

So, with my face all made up (a bit more than usual - hello liquid eyeliner!), we headed off to Shadwell to find ourselves some vintage gems!

What an absolutely stunning venue Wilton's Music Hall is! I love that it doesn't seem to have been restored and you can see just how old, but well loved a building it is. This was the perfect setting for a vintage fair. The main room was breathtaking with its fairy lights coming down from the high ceiling. There were a few other rooms up uneven steps and around creaky corners, with yet more stalls. Downstairs there was a little cafe and even a cosy cocktail bar upstairs. Whilst we rummaged through the rails, we were entertained with Swing Patrol's dance routines and live music from My Favourite Things. I can't wait to go back and visit this mesmerising music hall!

Both these items were just £10 each! I finally have a fringed suede jacket, and that wool tartan skirt was an item I had spotted at the last 2 fairs but always forgot to go back to buy. This time, I snapped it up as soon as I saw it.

Last week I was contacted by a fairly new online clothing company called Elite99. They wanted to send an item from their website for me to review. After perusing their newest arrivals, I'd already found quite a few pieces that I really loved. I decided on this long sleeve contrast lace sweater in grey (it's also available in cream). I knew this would be something that I would get a lot of wear out of as it looks easy to mix and match with other items already in my wardrobe. It arrived vacuum packed so needed a quick iron before its first wear. Whilst I was ironing it, I noticed that the fabric seemed to stick slightly to the iron, but this was easily rectified by placing a clean tea towel in between the jumper and iron. It has a really soft feel to it and it perfect for in between seasons as it's light enough to wear in the run up to Spring. As it is quite a cheap garment, I was worried it would be really itchy, but it's not in the slightest! What I love most is the lace/crochet detailing on the cuffs and high neckline. I'm wearing a size medium which fits me comfortably. I've already got some more outfits planned for this top, including underneath a pair of dungarees, so keep your eyes peeled!

I paired the grey sweater with this beautiful wool skirt which I picked up from a recent visit to Rokit for just £10 in their sale. It was the black velvet trim on the hem which really caught my eye. I used a black waist belt to try and hide the fact that the greys were slightly different shades. The outfit was finished with grey frilly socks and boots, both from New Look, and black bowler hat from H&M that I picked up at a Swapaholics clothing swap.

Once we were all shopped out, we took a short wander down to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Chloe was very surprised just how close we were to it. It was such a wonderfully sunny day, so a walk along the river was definitely in order. Tower Bridge is my favourite thing in London, and it's even more glorious in the sunshine! The blue and red paint looks even more vibrant. I also love it at night time, all lit up.

We had a marvellous day, I found a pirates sword - YAY! I can't wait to start wearing my new purchases!
