Meow (Goodbye in Cat Language)

So, my bestie is leaving me *SUPER DUPER SAD FACE WITH ALL THE TEARS IN THE WORLD* Not only is she starting a new job in the New Year all the way up in Lincoln, she’s going travelling for 2 months before the big move. I’d planned to take Amy to the theatre for Christmas, so we’ve ended up celebrating early. Before I get into the soppy goodbyes, here’s what I wore.

Dress // Bonne Chance Collections     Shoes // Matalan

You probably already know about my love for Bonne Chance Collections. It was high time I treated myself to another of their seriously adorable dresses. I love the mix of stripes and spots with this cute little number (currently only available in pink). It features a sweet scalloped overlay of spotty material on top of stripes of soft blues. Bonne Chance’s dresses are sooo comfy to wear, the skater style hides my lumps and bumps.

I’d also treated myself to a new coat too…

Coat // House of Fraser

This beaut is by Therapy, available at House of Fraser. I really wanted something new this winter, but hadn’t found anything that had caught my eye. That was until I’d spotted this one in a recent ‘Winter coats to fall in love with’ list by Look! I fell for the cape like shape and the feminine fluffy collar with ribbon tie. How utterly cute, and so very me, right? RIGHT?!

That’s that outta the way. Now back to what we got up to.

First up was a pit stop at O’Neills for a few cheeky pints, and nachos…and a GIANT BROWNIE TOPPED WITH ICE CREAM, SQUIRTY CREAM, MARSHMALLOWS, HONEYCOMB AND CHOCOLATE BUTTONS! Just check out that bad boy. Absolutely delicious! James also popped in for a surprise goodbye. It’s only right, Amy is kinda responsible for us.

After we’d stuffed our faces, me and Amy hopped, skipped and jumped across the road to where I revealed her 2nd surprise of the night – we were going to see Cats The Musical!

As far as I could tell, Amy loved it! I’d seen it already the year before and still love it just as much. We had fun exploring the beautiful Palladium Theatre in the interval too.

There’s just one part I’m not quite a fan of. Rum Tum Tugger. Me and my brother had Cats on VHS when we were younger, and Rum Tum was always our favourite. It’s clear Lord Webber has tried to make the show a bit more hip for the cool kids, but I’m not a fan of that particular character change. But that’s just my personal preference.

I’d love to hear what you all thought about the show!
