Hump Day High 5!

Ahoy, and welcome to the first Hump Day High 5! It’s got nowt to do with drugs, promise. I’m actually jumping on the bandwagon of posting 5 good things that have made me happy each week. Wednesday can be a bit of a bummer of a day, so I thought why not cheer myself up with a reminder of all the happy things from the last 7 days, and what’s more encouraging for putting a smile on anyone’s face than a high 5!

Here’s hoping I can stick to posting this every Wednesday. Here goes!

Italy booked!

On Wednesday, fellow Bangarang blogger Erica asked if anyone was interested in joining her on a mini break to Italy as she’d found a pretty sweet deal for 2 nights in Rome, followed by another 2 nights in Venice. I jumped at the chance as Venice has been at the top of my ‘Must Visit’ list for quite a while now. Now I just need it to be March already!

Musical Bingo

Good ol’ Erica had managed to score us Bangarang lot free entry to Musical Bingo. We’re all becoming quite the regulars! MB nights are always the best. You get some really great music, songs that everyone knows and loves (even though they hate to admit it), there’s the chance to win prizes, and plenty of silly fun in between. I can’t wait to go back!

Camden Pub Crawl

James had organised a pub crawl around Camden over the weekend. This was basically a lad’s night out, but with me and another of the Girlf’s tagging along. Camden is a great place for a pub crawl as there is just so much choice, all within a few steps of each other. We’d managed to hit 6 having 1-2 drinks in each before calling it a night. Safe to say I spent all of Sunday lazing around Netflixing.

Dinner at The Forge

I’m trying to make the most of my 3 month Tastecard trial so told James to pick a restaurant available on the site near the venue for Monday nights gig. His choice was Forge & Co on Shoreditch High Street. I’ll have a full post on our visit soon, but for now, check out how pretty their sinks are *insert heart eyed emoji*. Our food was delicious, we even ordered for dessert!

Toy at Village Underground

One of my birthday treats from James was tickets to see one of my favs, Toy, play what is quickly becoming one of my favourite venues, Village Underground! I was excited for James to finally see them as I’ve been on about just how good they are live, and he wasn’t disappointed. It’s so easy to lose yourself in their music with their never ending psychedelic guitar lines and ambient drones. Plus, their lead singer is pretty.

So, that’s been 5 happy things from the past 7 days. I’d love to hear in a comment below what you’ve all been up to 🙂

Come back next week for 5 more happy things, or if you’re inpatient, just follow me on Instagram to see it as it happens!
