Another tough week but I shall persevere with this week’s #HumpDayHigh5. This one’s for you Amy!
Last week I booked tickets for me and my friend Kev to go to Secret Cinema’s showing of Dirty Dancing. Kev dropped the bomb after I’d booked us in for it that he’d never actually seen Dirty Dancing! Shocked, I ordered him straight over to watch it. We also used the film to start thinking about what costumes we’re going to wear. I’ve attended Secret Cinema the past 2 years, but I’m extra excited for this one as Dirty Dancing is one of my absolute favourite films!
On Saturday, Nuraan came over and we went for dinner just up the road from me at Cream Café. Yes, that’s right, we broke all the rules and had dessert for dinner. It’s always so difficult trying to decide just what to have. I WANT IT ALL AT ONCE IN MY FACE! This time I went for the Choc Fudge Hot-n-Cold Volcano sundae, which was basically warm chocolate fudge cake topped with ice creams and hot toffee sauce. So SO good! Nuraan was a little more daring and had the Luxury Winter Nut sundae AND crepes with ice cream and lemon sauce. It’s going to take a while, but I will eventually eat my way through the whole menu!
Sunday I had the day to myself and stayed in my pjs allll day. I had a bit of a Twilight binge on Netflix watching the first 3 films. Whenever I feel sick or a little down, Twilight is always one of those films that I turn to, mainly because RPattz’s beautiful face always makes me feel better. I also took this time to add some more items to my eBay, so take a look, you might just find something you like, and keep an eye out as I’ll be adding plenty more.
My brother treated me to dinner on Monday night, so we took this opportunity to finally check out Tinseltown, my new local diner. We were both starving, so we went to (tinsel) town with our food and drink orders! Milkshake, smoothie, chicken burger & fries, hot dog & fries, cheesecake and chocolate cake, all for just £33.66. Bit of a bargain if you ask me! I’ll have a full post coming soon, but for now here’s a sneak peek of my Peanut Butter Brownie Sensation shake – YUM!
3 Targets Hit!
Over the past week we’ve managed to pass 3 targets on Amazing Amy’s donation page! We’re currently well on our way to smashing the 4th target of £10k. There is no real limit to how much can be donated as Amy is still fighting in an induced coma so we’re unsure just how long she’ll be in hospital for as well as how long a road to recovery she will have once she wakes. To anyone who has donated, THANK YOU, YOU SUPERSTAR! A Pray for Amy Haskew group has been made so everyone can share their prayers, well wishes for the family as well as read updates on Amy’s current condition. Amy’s Prayer Map has also been set up so people can pin where in the World they are praying from. It really is spectacular! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everyone’s prayers, donations and well wishes for Amy. She’s a tough cookie so I’ve no doubt she’ll pull through #comeonAmy!
