This has been the toughest, most surreal week of my entire life. Through it all, I’ve managed to find 5 good things, sort of…
I’ve been wanting to visit my new local park for a while but the weather has been a bit shoddy. The sun finally came out so I went for a walk, 3 times in 2 days. Valentine’s park is absolutely lush with lots of mini lakes and a family of geese who waddle around together.
On Thursday I lost quite possibly the greatest person I will ever have the pleasure of calling my friend. Of course I am utterly heartbroken, but I’m seeing the good in this. Amy is no longer suffering. She’s at peace, dancing like a loon in the sky. You can still donate towards helping bring Amy home to be laid to rest.
Airbnb in Amsterdam
James & I finally had our weekend away to Amsterdam and we stayed in the most amazing Airbnb. This place was so beautiful and we got to look after the owners cat whilst they were away camping. I’ll have more on this very soon!
A Dam good time!
We’d booked this weekend away a while ago and at first I was a little hesitant to still take the trip, but it actually ended up being perfect timing. A mini escape was just what I needed to clear my head. There’s so much we didn’t get to do so we’ll definitely be going back at some point!
Lail Arad @ Chats Palace
Last night we saw Lail Arad at Chats Palace in Hackney for the launch of her new album, The Onion. She’s such an enigma on stage, you can’t help but fall in love with her. She did a dazzling Bob Dylan cover. Lail has a few more shows lined up this week around Europe, so if you can get to one, DO! Chances are you won’t be able to catch her in quite such intimate settings soon.
See what I got up to last week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5 moments from the past 7 days?
