Here are 5 things that made me happy this week!
I was bugged down with tonsillitis last week, and not wanting to miss out on the beautiful sunshine, I took a lovely long walk around Valentine’s Park. I love that these serene lakes are less than a 5 minute walk from my house. I’m planning to go back (when the sun comes back!) to grab some snaps of the new baby cygnet that I spotted.

To celebrate The Boyf’s Bro’s birthday (you got that?) we went for dinner at Dishoom. I’d heard a lot of hype about this place, and it turns out for a ruddy good reason! The décor has a 1960’s feel to it, and the food, oh the food! Absolutely delicious. We’ll be revisiting soon (with my fancy pants camera) to delve further into their menu.
Full from Bombay delicacies, it was off to the Harold Pinter theatre to take our seats for Sunny Afternoon, a musical featuring the music and story of The Kinks. You may remember I’d already seen this show back in January, but I loved it so much I was very happy to watch it again!
On Sunday I headed up to Luton for a sleepover at my hometown besties. We went on a lovely dog walk where we came across these cute Dalmatian ponies. Afterwards, we carried on the evening with a game of Top Trumps, takeaway pizza and a silly Sandler film. When you lose someone close to you, it really makes you appreciate those still with you so much more.
My Dad’s birthday was on Monday and the original plan was to go out for a nice lunchtime meal. Instead, he suggested we grab some Tesco takeaways and Mr Holmes on dvd that he’d had his eye on. Of course, there was chocolate birthday cake and kitty cuddles too!
See what I got up to last week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5 moments from the past 7 days?
