Alright? Here’s what I’ve been up to this week!
Better late than never!
Before Amy went away travelling in November she said she had a birthday present for me but had forgotten to bring it over and that she would post it to me. Long story short, her mum found it after the accident but sent it to another friend called Charlotte. It may be 8 months late but I’m so glad the missing gift was eventually found. It’s a little weird reading a birthday card from someone no longer with us. I’ll treasure them forever.
Nuraan & I thought we’d check out 80’s bar, Visage, as it is right around the corner from my new place. It was a little quiet when we first arrived so we popped to Faces for a quick drink, like a really quick drink. I hated this place as soon as we got there and wanted to get the hell out! Visage had picked up a bit by this point and we spent the rest of the night dancing like loons to the likes of Depeche Mode and Madonna. It isn’t strictly 80’s that they play here. There’s a little bit of 90s, like Peter Andre and Shaggy. Good old guilty pleasures!
Street Art Tour
On Saturday I was invited by Joe Blogs to join a street art tour of East London led by Doug from Alternative London. He showed us some pieces many of us had never even noticed before and also gave us some tips for shooting the streets and it’s art. At the end of the 90 minute tour we got to go back to their HQ and print out some of our favourite shots. I’ll have more on the blog soon!
My hometown bestie, Jess, and her husband have just got themselves a new puppy called Roxy. I popped over to meet the little cutie. She’s so tiny and cute and I am in love! I can’t wait to visit again next month.
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros @ Islington Assembly Hall
Alex Ebert has been on my ‘To Watch’ list ever since I first spotted him at the Golden Globes 2014, and then his band, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, popped up on my Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify. I finally got to see them Monday night and they were amazing! Alex is really animated on stage, a bit bonkers. He climbed into the audience during their 2nd song and was taking requests from the crowd. Such a fun and entertaining night spent in the wonderful company of Charlie and Ashley & her hubby.
See what I got up to last week.
