I’ve had a pretty quiet week, but I’ve enjoyed having a little time to myself to catch up on some blogging, and Gilmore Girls, of course!
I had the day off last Wednesday, mainly so I could see James before he buggered off again for a family holiday. It was a rare day with absolutely nothing planned, although the original plan was to visit the Harry Potter Studio. It was pure bliss. We had a walk in the park and ate some of the leftover pizza from the night before. The rest of the day was spent watching some comedy gold with Some Mothers Do Ave Em and Fawlty Towers.
Breakfast with Julie
My friend Julie came over to mine for breakfast on Saturday morning. We headed to my local favourite, The Egg & Crockery for a scrumptious brekkie of avocado and eggs. We were going to go for a walk around Valentines Park, but the big grey clouds looked all too threatening.
Saturday night was sibling movie night. Me and The Bro were long overdue some hangout times. We managed to get through 4 films, back-to-back, and of course we had our supply of pizza, ice cream, crisps and muffins to help us. We watched Ferris Bueller (classic fun), Brooklyn (absolutely heartbreaking), We’re The Millers (silly comedy) and Dick Tracy (weird, very weird).
Brunch at Dishoom
8 of us Bangarangers assembled to Dishoom for Sunday brunch. The food here is absolutely delicious! I went for the chicken murgh malai with basmati rice, black dahl (a big favourite on our table) and a garlic naan. I also tried their chocolate chai which was yummy. It’s basically a hot chocolate with a bit of spice.
After brunch, a couple of us went for a jaunt around Shoreditch, outfit photographing through the East London streets. I absolutely LOVE hanging out with these girls. Just a couple of minutes in their company is enough to cheer me up. I’m already counting down to our next get-together!
See what I got up to last week.
