I have definitely gotten into the Christmas spirit this week with some Christmas crafting and visiting family. Also my birthday is getting closer, which I always associate with Crimbo. This time next week I’ll be another year older!
Anyway, here’s what I’ve been up to this week.
Christmas Jumper Craft Workshop with John Lewis
Last week I was invited along to John Lewis’s Christmas jumper craft workshop. We got to pick our own jumper from their Christmas collection which we then personalised on the night. Zoe Bateman, AKA Ladybird Likes was also there to give us some inspiration as well as help with our crafting. I’ll have a post on my personalised jumper very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
I spent the weekend up in Southport with my family visiting some other relatives. We stayed at the Prince of Wales hotel, where my Dad used to work many years ago. He took me on a secret tour of the hotel, and we found the ballroom looking all pretty and completely empty. Southport is looking very Christmassy with lights all over the town.
Johnny Cash Tribute
The Johnny Cash Roadshow rolled into Southport on our first night, so my brother booked us all tickets, as he’s a BIG Cash fan. It was a good night and was a reminder of all the great songs the Man in Black not only sung but wrote too!
Christmas Tree Decorating
The main reason for our trip up Norf was to ‘help’ with the annual decorating of my Aunt & Uncle’s 12 ft (yes, 12 whole feet!) Christmas tree. It was a big family affair with my cousins, their partners and kids. My Aunty Cheryl had put on a delicious buffet spread and set up a fun card game for us all to play afterwards.
Red Hook @ Surya
Those Red Hook boys were at it again last night, this time playing a set at Surya, near Kings Cross. Although heavy metal is not quite my type of music, I absolutely love to watch these guys play live. Sure, I’m a little biased when I say how great they are, but you can judge for yourself at their next gig on the 23rd December!
So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?
Check out last week’s post.
