November’s Gig Round-Up

I’m slowly, but surely, getting my gigging mojo back, though November and December tend to get a little quieter on the gig front for me anyway, mainly because it’s my birthday and Christmas coming up and it gets busier with other events and celebrations.

The Raincoats @ Angel Olsen @ Islington Assembly Hall *

This gig popped up on Jukely a few days before, and I remember spotting Angel Olsen in my Discover Weekly playlist on Spotify. I gave The Raincoats a little listen and loved them instantly, so I grabbed 2 passes and brought James along with me for a night of these rocking ladies. This wasn’t a normal gig as both The Raincoats and Angel took to the stage to play each other’s songs together. It was such a lovely evening and their cover of Lola was just amazing!

Peaches @ Oval Space *

Another Jukely gig, this time with Peaches. I was only really familiar with one of her songs, yes THAT song and so wasn’t really sure what to expect. What I wasn’t expecting was Peaches wearing multiple boobs dancing with 2 giant vaginas! She’s kind of like an x-rated Lady Gaga but on a much smaller budget. She’s more raw than Gaga too. I really enjoyed the gig and found myself not being able to take my eyes off of her, wondering what she was going to do next – take her top completely off and dance around in a tiny thong, that’s what she did next!

Ibis Lates @ Ibis Shoreditch

Ibis launched their new collaboration with the Roundhouse, Ibis Lates, with an evening of live music and drinks at their Shoreditch hotel. We got to see live performances from the likes of Jay Johnson, Soma and Estee Blu. It was such a great night partying with some of my favourite bloggers, and we even got to sleepover afterwards. You can read more in my full post very soon!

Gigs marked with a * are those which I got passes for through Jukely. You can get £10 off your first month by using my special code: JUKECE1

Did you manage to make it to any of these gigs? Or maybe you saw someone else. I’d love to hear in the comments below!

You can catch July & August’s gig round-up here, and be sure to read all about why I go to so many gigs.
