Hump Day High 5

Hump Day High 5!

Now that my birthday week is out of the way, it’s time to REALLY get into the Christmas spirit! I’ve got a couple of last minute pressies to buy, as well as one handmade creation to finish for James. Anyway, here’s what I’ve been up to over the past 7 days!

Bud Light

James managed to get us both on the list for the launch of Bud Light’s one day concept store in preparation for their arrival in the UK early next year. We had free beer all night, Bud Light of course, a chance to win some fab prizes which are rare here in the UK, as well as a fun photobooth.

Friday night, James & I took the train down to Strood for a lovely dinner with his family at the Tudor Rose in Upnor. It was a quaint little pub down a cute cobbled street serving some delicious food. I went for the fishcake which was absolutely scrumptious!

I turned 27 over the weekend and James had a whole day planned. It started with a visit to the Southbank Centre’s Winter Festival, followed by a mulled wine and mince pie fuelled screening of Elf at the Prince Charles Cinema. We ended the night with dinner at Jackson & Rye. This place has been on my hit list for quite some time, so it was great to finally get to eat there, although my anxiety was playing up so I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I wanted, so I’ll definitely be going back for some dessert very soon!

Xmas Market Tate Modern

I had Monday booked off work so met up with James in his lunch break. We had a quick bite to eat at Frank’s before we took a little wander around the xmas market outside the Tate Modern. I do love me a Crimbo market! I tried a mulled winter Pimms which was yummy but very sweet. We also found both our names on the carousel!

Last night my brother took me to see The Play That Goes Wrong for my birthday. I was so happy to finally get to see this show. Who doesn’t love a bit of silly slapstick comedy! It was absolutely hilarious! I’m adding their other shows, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About A Bank Robbery to my ‘To Watch’ list!

So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?

Check out last week’s post.
