Hump Day High 5

Hump Day High 5!

Happy New Year and welcome to the 1st Hump Day High 5 of 2017! Here’s what I’ve been up to over the past 7 days.

Million Dollar Quartet

Million Dollar Quartet Royal Festival Hall London Theatre

For Christmas, James & I bought tickets for his parents and brother to see the Million Dollar Quartet theatre show which was playing at the Royal Festival Hall over December. I’d seen it twice before 5 years ago. The show is about when Sun Records had 4 of their megastars visit the studio in the same day and recorded some songs together. These megastars were Carl Perkins, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis. It’s such a fab show and I can’t wait for it to return to London! Check out what I wore!

Dirty Dancing

Dirty Dancing at Phoenix Theatre London Musical

One of my birthday presents from James was tickets to see Dirty Dancing at the Phoneix Theatre. I’d seen it before many MANY years ago, but it was just as fantastic as I remembered! It’s just like the film with all the iconic scenes and classic lines.

New Year’s Breakfast

The Old Moat House Luton Breakfast Eggs and Pancakes Food Blog Blogger

I spent NYE back home in Luton with my Mum, Nan and Brother. The following morning I joined some of my hometown friends for breakfast at The Old Moat House before heading back to London. They do a great cooked breakfast buffet, though I opted for pancakes with eggs which was just the fuel I needed for my journey back to the big smoke.

Balloon For Amy

Happy New Year Amazing Amy Silver Star Balloon

My NYE plan was to let off a balloon at the stroke of midnight for Amy, but we’d run out of helium so I picked up a shiny star from Clintons back in London, attached a little light and let it go the following evening instead. New Year is kind of the anniversary of our friendship so I wanted to do something special.

Movie Day

Sunday evening and all day Monday was spent at home relaxing and watching films. I introduced James to Bedazzled (Liz Hurley – what a woman!) on Sunday night. The next morning we kicked off with Dazed & Confused followed by Lucy. I then spent Monday evening catching up with some blog writing whilst watching Ella Enchanted.

So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?

Check out last week’s post.
