Last month I celebrated my 27th birthday. James had a whole day planned. Here’s what I wore.
I first spotted these kitty jeans on Katy and I knew I had to have them! Unfortunately they were £40 and what with me planning to move again very soon, I’m on a very tight budget when it comes to buying myself little treats. But then(!) I spotted the exact same pair on Gamiss’ site for just £14.23. They’re so cute and I’m totally in love. I’m a size 8-10, so I’ve gone for a size M. They fit just fine, if not a liiiitle tight and the waist is slightly lower than I usually like, but there’s no trying to hold my breath to do up the button.
This cashmere roll neck jumper was one of my many great finds from a Pop Up Vintage Fair. It’s so soft and only cost a tenner! My sunnies are another vintage find, this time from Snooper’s Paradise; a massive shop down the lanes in Brighton full of second hand goodies. The cat necklace was one of my birthday presents from James. It’s filled with tiny blue forget-me-not flowers. He picked it up from one of the stalls at the Xmas Market that pitches up outside the Tate every year. I decided to finish my outfit with my peach coloured Converse as they matched the little cat noses on the jeans as well as my sunglasses.
Now, for what James had planned for my birthday!
It started with cake at the Valentine Park Gardener’s Cottage Café. I went for a slice of fresh lemon sponge. After 2 short tube rides, we ended up at the Christmas Market down by the South Bank for a hot chocolate and a look around the stalls. This was followed by a walk across the river and a little wander around St James’s Park before heading towards Leicester Square where we took our seats, and complimentary mulled wine & mince pies, for a screening of my favourite Christmas film, Elf, at the Prince Charles Cinema. The day finished with dinner at Jackson & Rye where we ate some delicious fried chicken. Unfortunately my anxiety was flaring up so I didn’t quite feel well enough to stay for dessert, but mark my words, I will be back!
