Hump Day High 5

Hump Day High 5!

So this week I moved part of my stuff into the new place, but we have no internet until the 2nd week of March (help me!), so sorry that this is a wee bit later than usual. Here’s what I’ve been up to over the last 7 days.

Belgo X Bloom Kings Cross Launch

Thursday evening I was invited along to the launch of what is now the Kings Cross Crowne Plaza for the launch of Belgo and Bloom Kitchen & Bar. The Belgian restaurant and gin specialised bar have teamed together in a new space as part of the Crown Plaza hotel. I’ll have a full post coming to the blog very soon!

Friday Beers

Expat Explore Friday Night Drinks

I really, seriously love my new job. We celebrated Friday with drinks and Foosball in the office, followed by a couple more alcoholic beverages at the Wetherpoons down the road. My previous job was based in a mental health hospital so alcohol was considered a contraband item which meant we could never have a cheeky beer in the office.

Wild Nothing @ Moth Club

Jukely is getting a bit livelier and offering more gigs, so I took advantage of my free Saturday night plans and grabbed passes to Wild Nothing’s sold out show at the very sparkly Moth Club in Hackney. The place was packed, but everyone was in high spirits. It was a fab show. Also, special mention to the support act, Her’s, their bass player is so funky. He looked like he was having so much fun! Be sure to use code JUKECE1 for £10 off your first month!

New Flat!

Moving into my new Sydenham flat

My plans to move my things into the new flat didn’t quite go to plan, so instead I roped in James and my brother to help bring a couple of suitcases of stuff from Gants Hill to Sydenham. I finally got to spend my first night in the new flat. We celebrated with pizza and cookie dough!

Toastie Tuesday

Tuesday was toastie day in the office as Greg provided us all with lunch. We had cheese, and ham, and cheese, and red onions, and cheese, and chicken, and cheese, and salami, and cheese, and spaghetti hoops, AND CHEESE!! Thank goodness for the George Foreman!

So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?

Check out last week’s post.
