Welcome To The Circus

When I was asked to pick some items from DressLily, I was instantly drawn to this dress!

I think it’s the unusual colour combinations. There’s brown, mint green, mustard yellow and baby blue, not colours that usually go together. Somehow it works. It’s one of those easy to throw on dresses, with a simple back zip. It’s made from a soft cotton, that almost feels silk like. I’ve gone for a size M which fits me perfectly around my small waist, skims over my wider hips, and doesn’t gape under my armpits, which I find can be a problem when ordering sleeveless tops/dresses online. I’ve mentioned before that skater is my favourite dress shape, so this one really hits the spot.

I like patterned dresses featuring lots of different colours as it makes it more fun to mix and match with other items, such as shoes, tights and cardigans. For this outfit, I’ve gone for brown boots and a mustard cardigan, but I’m already planning to mix it up with mustard tights and a brown cardigan. I’ve also got some fab mustard yellow brogues that would look great with this dress!

* I was sent this dress for free, but rest assured, all words and opinions are my own 🙂

Pin it for later!
