Tuesday evening, when I’d usually be getting the next morning’s #HumpDayHigh5 post ready, I decided that I wasn’t going to do it anymore as it was starting to become a chore. However, after what happened here in London yesterday, I feel I need some positivity. So without further ado, here it is, a day late, but here nonetheless!
Friday night may have been St Paddy’s night, but I headed up to Luton for a much-needed girls night in with Jess and Vanessa. We watched Pitch Perfect 2 and Jess did my nails all blue and pretty. She is currently in training but I am more than happy to be a hand model for her to practise on.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you would’ve seen that Kev came to visit me this weekend. Our original plan was to do some charity shopping for bits for our costumes for Secret Cinema’s Moulin Rouge screening. We only half followed our plan. We did indeed go charity shopping, but I ended up spending nearly £70 on 19 items and only 1 of these will be used for my costume…oops!
Sunday morning, we woke late having spent the evening making my new bed (it’s very tiring y’know!) and slowly got ourselves ready to head out for breakfast. On the way past East Penge station, we came across a little kitty meowing for our attention. This little lady is called Gnasher, according to her tag, and we’re now best friends. She was acting a little strange and so I texted the number on her collar to check she wasn’t missing. Turns out she wasn’t, but she is extremely friendly and I’ve fallen in love. Hopefully I’ll bump into her again on another adventure through Penge.
Crystal Palace Park
We eventually made it to Crystal Park Palace (I’d spent A LOT of time cooing over Gnasher) and I introduced Kev to the dinosaurs. We also took a wander over to the big red Sphinx for some fun photos. We were quite lucky to have missed the rain earlier that morning, but it was very blustery and cold. Safe to say we were knackered by the time we got home 6 hours later.
I ❤ London
Yesterday London was hit, but seeing people come together and help strangers in need has really warmed my heart and made me proud to be a Londoner. We are strong and nothing will break us. I hope you all managed to keep safe during the incident yesterday ❤
So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?
Check out last week’s post.
