Hump Day High 5

Hump Day High 5!

This week has been feeling a little strange as we approach the 1st year anniversary of Amy’s passing. James is taking me away this weekend, so at least I’ve got something nice to look forward to during what is bound to be a difficult few days. That’s not to say I haven’t had a cracking week!

Sylvan Esso @ Village Underground

Charlie & I had booked tickets to see Sylvan Esso months ago, and finally, gig night was here! Amelia bounces around the stage and you can tell she’s having so much fun! I’d definitely love to see them again, preferably on a night when I’m not so tired so I can dance around with the crowd. The only downside to the night was that I wasn’t allowed my camera, but thanks to Charlie for letting me take a couple on her phone.

Meet Ringo

Ready for the most exciting news, ever! I GOT A KITTEN!!! Meet Ringo. He is definitely a Mummy’s boy and loves nothing more than cuddles and tummy rubs. Keep an eye on my Instagram Stories as I’m sure he’ll become quite the regular feature.

Blue Mountain Café

Sunday morning, James & I decided to walk a little further than usual down my road to find somewhere for breakfast. Blue Mountain Cafe was just the kind of place we were looking for. It was wonderfully relaxing, with chillout soul tunes in the background, perfect for Sunday morning. The staff were also very friendly. I can’t wait to go back for another hot chocolate

Later that afternoon we headed to Shoreditch for a quick catch up with Elie before he flew back to Luxembourg. We met on the Queen of Hoxton‘s rooftop which has been turned into a piratey oasis, inspired by the film Hook and so aptly named Bangarang. A hang out with those Bangarang girls is definitely in order, though we should probably skip the cocktails. We tried 3 and we didn’t enjoy any. The specially brewed Bangarang beer was a hit though!
Last night I went to see one of my all time favourite bands, We Are Scientists. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve seen them now. Not only are these guys musically talented, but they’re also god damn funny!! I will never tire of watching them live!
So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?

Check out last week’s post.
