Hump Day High 5

Hump Day High 5!

This past week has mainly been made up of sunshine, for summer has finally arrived in London, hurray!! Though I’m sure it won’t last long…

Drinks in the sun

I’ve been making the most of the sunshine with plenty of drinks in the sun. On Thursday after work, James & I met up with Erica at one of our locals, The Golden Lion. We had a natter over a couple of bevvies, chips and burgers in the beer garden. Perfect.

Aviv Geffen @ Islington Assembly Hall

Friday night I was invited to see Aviv Geffen play live at Islington Assembly Hall. I’d never heard of him before, but you guys know me, always up for new music! It was such a great gig and you can read my full review here!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

On Sunday, the bro & I headed home to Luton for lunch with our Dad who celebrated his birthday yesterday. I got him this great card from You Said It. They have plenty of funny (and a little rude) cards for all occasions. I’d highly recommend.

Forest Hill Wander

It threatened to rain on Monday, but that didn’t stop James & I from going on a little wander towards Forest Hill. It was a lovely walk and we even came across some colourful street art along the way.

A late lunch at Sylvan Post

During our little wander, we stopped at Sylvan Post for a late lunch. James went for the pie of the day, whereas I had the most delicious sweet potato & feta fritter topped with a poached egg. We also ordered a bowl of mussels in the yummiest garlic cream sauce to share, and goodness was the food good! I’ll definitely be heading back to try more off the menu.

So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?

Check out last week’s post.
