It’s been a funny old week. One minute we had brilliant sunshine here in London, and the next, it’s chucking it down! 7 days filled of highs and lows, but in true London style, I’m getting on and will not stop living my life. So, here’s what I’ve been up to this week.
Her’s @ The Waiting Room
A couple of months ago, Nuraan & I went to see Wild Nothing. They were supported by Her’s, a fun and funky band, so when I spotted they had a gig up on Jukely (use JUKECE1 for £10 off your 1st month) I knew we HAD to go! It was their 1st ever sold-out headline show, and the boys were on top form. I’ll have more in May’s gig round-up here soon.
The Diner Camden Relaunch
After helping The Diner celebrate their Islington relaunch, I was excited to head over to their Camden branch for another evening of food and fun. The new rooftop is going to be the perfect hangout spot this summer. I can’t wait for more burgers and beers in the sun!
Depeche Mode @ The London Stadium
It was finally here, Depeche Mode at London Stadium, their 1st stadium gig since 1993, apparently! Of course I love their music, but I’d never seen any live footage of the band, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but it was such a fantastic show filled of hits and newbies. There is just something about Dave Gahan. He’s such a charismatic frontman.
I enjoyed a bottomless brunch at Dead Dolls House with the girls on Sunday. Thanks to a Time Out voucher we got a main, side and 2 hours of bottomless cocktails for just £20 each. Some of us stayed in the area to shoot some outfit photos before ending up in Wetherspoons and ordering 2 bottles of prosecco and 4 desserts. A very indulgent Sunday, indeed!
Monday night I played host to some friends over from Luxembourg. We picked up snacks and beer, and settled in for a movie night. There was also lots of kitten play as Ringo made some new friends. This is the 1st place I’ve lived with a living room that isn’t my parents, and it’s lovely to have lots of space to hang out with friends.
Check out last week’s post.
