Wedding Guest Style with Coast

Coast isn’t usually where I think of going to when it comes to finding something to wear for a wedding, but after spotting these beautiful pieces, I’ve been persuaded otherwise.

Black? For a wedding? Are you crazy?!

Brooke Bandeau – £119 // Luna Artwork – £179 // Chelsea Lace – £139 // Naz Tie Peplum Top – £69

Some people think black should never be worn to a wedding, but I disagree. Most of us feel more comfortable in a slimming black dress, plus it’s a simple colour to easily mix and match with various accessories. The white bandeau of the Brooke dress helps break it up if you are weary of wearing all black. Our why not try a black off-the-shoulder top with a colour skirt. I also really love the neckline of the Luna Artwork dress. It’s oh-so flattering.

Pretty Cuts

Mimi Jumpsuit – £129 // Sofia Cape – £99 // Carolina Soft Shift – £129

Floral seems to be the go-to for weddings, but I’ve found a non-patterned dress is great if you’ve got a couple of weddings to attend. You can accessorise with different coloured shoes, cardigans, jackets and jewellery to create multiple wedding guest looks. If you really want to push the boat out, why not go for a jumpsuit. Yeah sure it’ll be a pain going to the toilet all night, but you’re sure to be the belle of the ball (after the bride, of course!). I think the Sofia dress is definitely my favourite with it’s interesting cape cut.

It’s all about the accessories

Zanna Umbrella – £29 // Amity Mini Fascinator – £22 // Dina Lurex Scarf – £39 // Rae Ruffle Bag – £39 // Silvie Floral Fascinator – £39

Accessories can make or break an outfit, so chose carefully. An umbrella is a must for a British wedding, even more so in summer! You won’t get caught off guard by an unexpected shower with this Zanna umbrella. It’s pretty AND practical. Talking of pretty and practical, this scarf will be your lifesaver when the evenings festivities get a little chilly. Let’s not forget fascinators. It wouldn’t be a wedding without every woman wearing something in her hair/on her head. You might as well go big, because when else can you get away with wearing one?

I’ve a wedding to attend at the end of September, so would love to hear your tips for wedding guest dressing in the comments below.
