Picture this, you’ve got tickets to see that band you love in Camden, but where the hell do you go to eat before the gig? It’s gotta be burgers, of course!
Bite Me’s burgers are a 3rd of the size of a regular burger, but this just means you no longer need to decide between the beef or the chicken or the veggie, as you can now try one of each! My first choice was the Pluck Me, crispy buttermilk fried chicken with a dollop of yuzu mayo. Don’t know what yuzu is? Google it. We did, and what we found was a deformed looking lemon, which perfectly describes the taste, though deformed in a good way, if that makes sense. It basically tasted like lemon but with a little twang. What I’m trying to say is that it tasted good, real good.
Next up, Guac Me. Succulent grilled chicken breast with rocket, and yes you guessed it, guacamole. I was expecting it to come in a cool green looking bun like the photo on the menu, but it didn’t *sad face*. Compared to the Pluck Me burger, this one lacked flavour. I think some caramelised onion could be quite a nice addition to it. I may have gone for the 2 chicken burgers, but there are plenty of beef burgers to choose from as well as lamb, cod and vegetarian options. The Veg Me burger means you can pick any of the burgers from the menu & replace the meat with fried aubergine.
They do a great deal of 2 burgers, fries & a drink for just £9.50. 2 burgers alone cost £8.50 so you basically get the fries & drink for just an extra £1! Also, if you’re feeling REALLY hungry you can have a go at their 15 burgers in 15 minutes challenge.
* I was invited to dine at Bite Me Burger for free through Love Pop Ups – London, but rest assured, all words and opinions are my own 🙂
