Are you ready for something REALLY fancy?
How absolutely gorgeous is this dress?! As soon as I spotted it, I knew it had to be mine. It’s slightly more expensive than the items I usually feature on my blog (retails at £159), but Christmas and New Years are coming up, so we’re allowed to spend a bit more on looking great. On the website, this dress looked like it was all lace, but I was surprised to see there were silky panels down the top half and the sleeves. I love this mix of textures.
I think the dress is meant to be worn without tights, or at least skin coloured hosiery, but it was cold, and it’s rather short, so I opted for black tights. It would be great if there was an option for a black underline, but I think this still works. I’ve gone for a size 10 and it fits like a dream! Although it is quite short on me, the high neckline and long sleeves make for extra coverage.
Even before this beauty was popped in the post, I knew EXACTLY which shoes to wear. My navy velvet boots, of course. The high neckline and long sleeves means there’s not much need for accessories, so I can just throw it on and concentrate on getting my hair and make up just right for the big night. Though, I’ve just realised how great this would look with a leather jacket!
*I was sent this dress for free, but rest assured, all words and opinions are my own 🙂
Pin it for later!
