Ahoy! Hello! HIII! It’s me!
Hope you haven’t forgotten who I am! My blog has been down for the last couple of weeks, mainly because I’m an idiot for cancelling my domain from my previous host as I thought I’d successfully transferred it to my new host. Turns out the transfer hadn’t been successful, AT ALL. A couple of hundred (slight exaggeration) emails later, and a few hours of me contemplating whether my blog was actually worth the figure I’d been sent to pay in order to ‘attempt’ to redeem my domain, and it’s finally back!
To kick off the new year, howz aboutz a new outfit?!
So you’ve probably already guessed from this blog title, this was what I wore Christmas Day 2017 in Donegal. My Nan had given me this velvet dress during my last visit back in October, and I’d been saving it for the big day in December. It could probably do with being a size smaller, but the looser fit actually came in handy with stuffing my face. The rose and cascading chiffon from the waist also helped hide a bloated tummy after too much turkey stuffing (no such thing!). Isn’t the colour just gorgeous too?
As the dress is plain, I’ve gone for polka dot, sparkly tights, and added a flash of red with some embroidered pop socks. These socks were actually a little freebie that came with a dress that James ordered me from Joanie for my birthday. They give the illusion that I’m wearing patterned embroirdered boots, but really they’re closed toe black suede shoes! I think the next time I wear this dress, I’ll go tightless with higher heels, and maybe with smart blazer.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I spent it in Ireland with my family eating, drinking, eating, playing games, and eating! New Years was a little quieter with just me and James. We hung out at mine and watched Jools Holland. It felt good to not start the New Year with a hangover! However you celebrated, I hope it was amazing!
