For my birthday a few weeks ago, not only did James buy me tickets to see An American In Paris, but he also got me a BEAUTIFUL dress. I saved the dress and wore it for our theatre date last week!
Didn’t The Boyf do good?! Although, I may have sent him the Joanie website and told him I’d literally wear anything. And I may have pointed out that I share my surname with this dress, but still. I was a very happy bunny when I opened this. It was the perfect style to wear to the theatre, especially to see a show that’s set in the 1940’s. The skirt is just so full and perfect for spinning in. Also, IT HAS POCKETS!!
As this is more of a summer dress, I’ve layered it with a mint green jumper my great pal Erica gave me. She’s also given me a pretty pale pink cardigan which would look fab in the warmer months. Now, shoe-wise, I’ve kept it fun and casual with some trusty Converse. These peach hi-tops match the dress perfectly, and you might just be able to see my green sparkly socks poking through. Ideally I’d have worn this outfit with dark green tights, so if anyone knows where I could find a pair for £5 or less, holla please! I’ve also got some pale green lo-top Converse that I’m looking to try with pink sparkly socks, so watch out!
