It’s been a bit of a weird week for me with another unexpected panic attack, but in between panicking about having another panic attack, I’ve managed to still get some good moments in over the past 7 days!
Luke & I were long overdue a big catch up, so I booked us a table at The Breakfast Club along the canal in Hackney (remember my previous trip?) for a fry up. I went for the poached eggs with salmon and a side of avocado, whilst Luke went for the breakfast wrap. We just made it in time for happy hour, so of course there were double cocktails and wine! Luke showed me how to play Pokemon Go on the way back to the station which inspired me to do something that you’ll read about a bit further down.

James & I celebrated our 1st anniversary together by grabbing tickets to watch Barbu at Wonderground which is currently down on the Southbank. This was basically a circus of bearded Frenchmen (and 2 women, minus beards) doing fun acrobatic tricks backed by their own live band. It was such a fun and innovative show, and it was something a little different. Well, it’s not every day you watch a fully grown bearded man pole dancing in nothing but black y-fronts!
Last week, I had had enough of my Windows phone. I was missing out on what the Bangarang girls were getting up to, not fully understanding what they were all talking about in our group chat, I was limited to what I could do on Instagram, and every one, but me, was playing Pokemon Go! So I bought myself a new phone. I now have the actual Instagram app (and not the beta version), have become obsessed with SnapChat (come say hi – captaincharleyy or scan my snap code below), AND I can finally hunt for Pokemon along with the rest of the World!
On Saturday I was invited along to James’s cousin’s wedding celebration party. They’d already gotten married in New York, so this was just a little party for their friends and family. It was held at the Trafalgar Tavern, where we had the most delicious food (the goats cheese and caramelised onion tart was my favourite!), not to mention stunning views of the sun setting across the river.
James took me out for a drive to Danson Park because it was super sunny outside, though I know the real reason was to catch Pokemon! This is a lovely big park with a foresty area and even a big lake, perfect for feeding the ducks. We even managed to catch a teeny tiny frog, as well as catch some more Pokemon, of course!
See what I got up to last week.
What have been your #HumpDayHigh5 moments from the past 7 days?
