This week has just flown by! Most of this week’s best bits took place out of London, out England altogether! Read on to find out more.
Banana Road Studio
Friday night I joined James and the Red Hook boys for band practise at Banana Road Studios. It gave me the chance to practise myself with my photography and live music camera skills. The guys are getting ready for their stint at The Ridicuously Red ROAR Festival where they’ll be playing on Sunday 11th of September. Expect to hear an interesting cover or 2.
You may have seen over on Instagram that we spent the bank holiday weekend over in Ireland with my Nan. Our first stop was a look at the Dark Hedges, AKA Kingsroad in Game of Thrones. After Erica showed me her photos of it, I knew we HAD to see it for ourselves! It’s basically a road with a row of trees on either side that have intertwining branches at the top. Pictures don’t quite do it justice.
Our next stop on our mini trip was a visit to the Giant’s Causeway. I’d been here before, many, many years ago. James, who had never been to Ireland before, was in his element, climbing all over the place! He even took the long way back up through the top of the mountain.
St John’s Point
Sunday we took a drive out to St John’s Point where we had some fantastic views. We were blessed with such amazing weather over the weekend and I don’t think I’ll have much editing to do with my photos (#nofilter baby!). The water was so blue and the grass so green – absolutely breath taking!
Donegal Bay Waterbus
After SJP we hopped aboard the waterbus which took us out around Donegal Bay. Our tour guide told us all about the history of the bay and the surrounding islands, and we were even treated to a wee sing-song! We also managed to spot some seals sunbathing in the sun off in the distance too. If you ever find yourself in Donegal Town, the waterbus is a must!
See what I got up to last week.
