Morning, and welcome to this week’s Hump Day High 5!
I booked James & I free tickets to the private view launch night of Punks, a new exhibition at the Museum of London. We got to check out some really cool pieces that had been donated to the museum for the exhibition from punk fans who were there when it first exploded onto the music scene in London. We were also treated to a live set from Shopping as well as free drinks all night. If you’re a music fan, and in particular a fan of punk, be sure to get over to the MoL to have a nosey.
Saturday night I had tickets for Hackney Wonderland festival which took place across various venues around, you guessed it, Hackney. My friend who was meant to come along with me had to cancel so I went alone. I made it just in time for We Are Scientists set at Oval Space. You’ve probably heard me gush about these guys plenty of times, but they’re just so damn good!!
I was up and out early (for me!) Sunday morning for brunch with some of the Bangarang ladies at Drake & Morgan. I’d been here once before as Erica’s +1 for lunch and loved it, but not quite so much this time. We found they’re breakfasts to be quite expensive for what they actually were, and they’d run out of hot chocolate (sad face!), but these delicious cinnamon doughnuts made up for it!
My Friday nights in are starting to become a regular thing. I pop to Iceland and grab a pizza (and maybe some ice cream), and stick a film on Netflix. Usually a chick flick. Last week’s pick was Clueless, because it had been way, WAY too long since I had last watched it!
The Augustines @ O2 Forum
Well I was meant to be going to see The Augustines last night, but I got bogged down with a cold and so we stayed in, ordered pizza and watched Jeepers Creepers on Netflix instead.
So, that was my week. What have been your #HumpDayHigh5’s?
Check out last week’s post.
