For my birthday, my Nan paid for a years Lightroom subscription for me, so for Christmas I used it to edit some photos for a special book for her. Here’s the result!
Saal Digital can literally print your photos onto anything; from posters and cards, to mugs and even puzzles. I went for a simple photobook to showcase some of my favourite photos of my Nan’s homeland, Ireland. You can opt to download their free special software which you can use to make your chosen photo item, or, if you’re a little strapped for time, you can build your item quicker directly on their website. This is what I’ve used.
I chose 26 pages measuring 15 x 21cm with a glossy finish which came to £24.95. I basically chose all the cheapest options, but I am extremely impressed with the quality of the book. The photos are clear and the colours are vivid. It was super quick and easy to upload my photos and move them around the different pages. They’ve got loads of layouts to choose from plus lots of designs with all different shapes, colours and themes. The theme I’ve gone for is called Maritime Memories, which as you can see, features anchors, lighthouses and other nautical illustrations.
There are lots of extras you can add to your photobook, like a metal or wooden front cover, padding, or even more pages. I think this photobook made for a great personal present. It’s lovely to see your own photos presented so beautifully. They’ve also got a special £15 off voucher code FB248KMA available until 28th Feb, so you can make your own book from under a tenner (excluding shipping).
* I was invited to make this photobook for free, but rest assured, all words and opinions are my own 🙂
